For most of us, owning a brand new Roller is a mere pipe dream. The iconic British marque has long been the choice of rich dudes who want to flash their cash when they hit the streets, and given the recent trend for custom builds, which have seen some serious displays of excess on four wheels, the dream seems to be getting more and more expensive.
Just to dangle the carrot a little further and make our collective lust for suicide doors and white leather that little bit more palpable, Rolls Royce this week launched their new online configurator for the latest iteration of their famous Phantom, to help you decide exactly how you’d like them to build your custom ride, (just so you’re ready, you know, when the day comes). The new Phantom is purportedly 10% quieter than the previous model, with sound dampening throughout the entire carriage, including foam inside the tyres. A 6.75L V12 produces 563bhp to power the enormous vehicle.
Built on Flash, the configurator lets you pick just about every single customizable feature you can imagine, but we’re not sure if we think it’s a baller way to waste an afternoon or just a further infuriating reminder of how out of reach a brand new RR really is.
