So you’ve been hitting the gym and training like a madman in preparation for summer. You’re looking good and feeling great. Awesome! But you just can’t get rid of that last roll. Given all the hard work, it’s a little frustrating – it just won’t go away! If only you could get rid of it… Well, it turns out that it is possible and it doesn’t involve surgery.
CoolSculpting is a procedure that eliminates stubborn fat safely and effectively, without surgery or downtime. It achieves this by delivering controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you. During the process you will likely just experience suction and cooling sensations that will eventually go numb.
Is it for me?
CoolSculpting is for people looking to make mild improvements. Results do vary, depending on the size and mass of the person, the density of the tissue around the fat, and how much of it there is. Ultimately this is not a weight reduction procedure and will work more effectively on people with ‘squishy fat’. Ultimately it's not designed for all over fat loss, it's for a pocket or bulge of fat.
When should I start?
Don’t listen to those forever dreary Starks, summer is coming and it’s here to stay… At least for a few months. So it’s time to get in shape ahead of those vacations, summer weddings and days spent at the beach. Clients can expect to see preliminary results after about 3 weeks, and more significant results after a few months.
It’s available Australia wide. For more info check www.coolsculpting.com.au to find the nearest location. FDA and TGA approved.
To find out a little more we spoke with Johnny from the office straight after getting a few stubborn spots CoolSculpted to ask him about the procedure.
What did you have done?
I had my double chin, the inside of my thighs and my moobs done.
Why did you want it done?
I am happy to do the hard work at the gym, however, I’ve got some social events coming up that I wanted to look good for, and I have a couple of stubborn spots that I can’t get rid of. My chin bothers me when I am wearing a tie, and other than losing weight, I’m not sure what type of exercise would reduce my chin. It's a family trait (thanks, mum!).
How was your CoolSculpting experience?
So far so good. I was pretty nervous going in because in my head I had images of ‘liposuction’. However, to my surprise, it was nothing like that. Honestly, I was surprised at how little it hurt.
