Lamenting the fact that chilling is only a matter of temperature this time of year? Missing long afternoons spent poolside with nothing on but boardies and a lick of SPF15+? Barney Cools is the brainchild of Sydney surfer/design dude Nat Taubman, who’s been outfitting the most chill of chillers since his time as the head designer at Zanerobe, before deciding to branch out and launch his own brand. With a huge following both domestic and abroad, Barney Cools is a brand which encompasses far more than just cool clobber for the easy-going; it’s a lifestyle label which combines slick beats, surf wear, babes and beach vibes under the same laid back umbrella.
Having enjoyed success with previous campaigns, Barney Cools are onto phase three of their latest line of clothing, Motel Cools. With poolside etiquette at their centre, the line-up features faded pastels, vintage undertones and some old-school tracksuit material which harks back in a not-so-subtle nod to their previous ‘School of Barney Cools’ capsules, which somehow did the impossible and made school-themes cool.
The limited numbers for most the items in these periodic releases usually mean that the good shit goes pretty quickly, so get on it ASAP if you’re keen to get some early-summer steeze.
