In a hilarious slip-up, international online retail behemoth Amazon has allowed the sale of children’s clothes branded with “Enjoy Cocaine” logos.
The outrageous line of baby garments includes bibs, T-shirts and baby gowns emblazoned with “Enjoy Cocaine” designed in the same fashion as Coca Cola’s distinctive “Enjoy Coke” logo. The iconic ribbon graphic is slightly modified so the solid white band underneath is a none-to-subtle powdery white line.
While it’s mildly humorous when one of your mates dons a shirt with a clear allusion to hard drugs on it, the joke becomes amplified ten-fold when a toddler wears something similar. Right?
How can I tell the world that I'm a bad parent AND my kid loves cocaine?
Alright, clearly not everyone agrees on that point. Customers Stefanie Smith and Kelly Pearson, in particular, were not impressed. Smith shared a screenshot of the bib design on the Amazon Uk Facebook page, with the comment “Admittedly, yes I was looking for a Libertines T-shirt but what the actual hell is this? WTF.”
Pearson replied, “I'm shocked? Have you emailed them a strongly-worded complaint?”
Amazon responded to the complaints by removing the items from the site (which has me in a bit of a pickle. What am I supposed to get my two-year-old cousin for his birthday?).
The garments’ country of origin is thought to be Estonia, where either they didn’t have clue what the words implied, or they have a really strange (and hilarious) sense of humour.
