How did you get into porn?
Vyki: I was about 18 and living in Montreal. I started out doing girl-on-girl scenes with whatever was offered. The industry in Canada isn’t very developed but it’s how I started off. I didn’t do anything too hardcore because I wasn’t sure what to expect. Six months later, I started shooting boy/girl and about a year after I moved to L.A.
Rick: I started in 2010, I was training to become a cop, but since I was nine years old, I was always watching porn, looking up to guys like Peter North and John Dough. So, I went knocking on doors of some cool nightclubs in downtown Montreal, and this guy gave me an opportunity for this production company. I did a couple of boy/girl scenes and eventually I ended up shooting with every company in Quebec. Like Vicky said, it’s a really small world, and I got my name out there.
Do you tell people what you do. How do they react?
V: I quickly became pretty mainstream. I have a very distinct style. I was really open and honest about it. I was in the adult industry for six years, so before then, I was living off of porn, I didn’t do anything else, and yeah, people recognised me and my family knew what I was doing, and people would just accept me as I am.
Right now, I’m a full-time student, so I’ll try and remain low-profile. I deal with high-profile people, so to ensure I don’t destroy my credibility, or have business owners continually searching for my porn on the net, I just keep a low-profile and not say anything.
R: When I was in the police, I wasn’t smart enough. I should have been low-profile, but I bragged about it, you know. ‘Oh, I fucked a hot girl’, I was bragging to my friends and they built up a file to fire me from the force. So after that, I wasn’t yet in the force, I did some controversial porn and I became mainstream on social media. Now, every time I have a serious job, like an office job, some people find out and they find an excuse to fire me. But in this industry, you have to be unbreakable and stay positive. There will always be haters.
What’s a regular day at work look like?
V: It depends on the director. In Quebec, it’s mostly amateur – in say Canada, a day would be between two and four hours. But in L.A., trust me, an average day is about eight hours, and that’s a good day. A movie, say a parody or feature can go longer. I’ve been on set for 23 to 24 hours. You can easily do your 40 hours a week on set.

What’s that like mentally?
V: It’s not even the sex that’s the hardest part. It’s the whole scenario, it’s everyone around you; you have to rehearse your scripts, repeat, do everything over and over again. That’s the hardest part. Everything the director is trying to make perfect other than the sex, which is just secondary – that’s the easiest part.
R: It really depends on the director. Some companies like to do gonzo porn where you just show up and fuck the girl. Other producers are really demanding. You have to do a grooming scene, you have to fuck like that, stay like that in front of the camera. They yell at you – it’s really hard. It’s more psychological than physical. You really have to be able to get a hard-on while someone is yelling at you. I would say the longest day I had on a set was four to five hours.
V: I’ve always had really good feedback on set. Once, I got irritated because a performer was high on drugs, or they’d partied the night before and I’ve gotten really irritated because they can’t keep their dick hard and that’s their only job to do. So, I mean – I understand, you know, it may happen, but the thing is, if you’re out partying and you’re on drugs and you’re not able to get your dick hard, then I’m the one that yells on set. If you can’t do your one job, then go home.
R: As for me, I had a director who would yell at me. Usually, they’re very nice, but this guy was very harsh. He had a strong work ethic, I don’t know if he yells at others, but he tried to get the best out of me. The first time I got fucked in the ass was with him, and he was yelling at me like crazy to make sure I spread my legs, and it was very hard. I learned the hard way how to fuck in front of a camera – how to position myself.
Advice for a first timer?
V: Honestly, I would suggest that if they’re under 21 to think about what they’re doing, because I think under 21 years old you’re not sure, I don’t think anyone at 18 or 19 knows what they want to do, and it could definitely affect you in a negative way, whether it’s family, relationships, career-wise – just because you want to make quick money. You need to be sure about what you’re doing and that if it’s going to fuck up your future, you’re not going to start bashing porn because you made a decision.
R: I couldn’t agree more with Vicki. You have to make sure you want to do it for the rest of your life. You can’t just do a scene and be like ‘I’m done, I just wanted to fuck a girl on camera, that was a trip’. That scene will stay on the internet, and somebody, somehow will find out. So, if you do a scene, you go the whole nine yards and you make sure you want to make it a career. Producers pay you to fuck hot girls – don’t start bragging that you fucked that chick. I’d say one of the hardest parts is trying to stay sober, but I survived. You’re going to go to a lot of porn parties, you’re going to see a lot of drugs –don’t get into that shit, it’s going to pull you down, physically and mentally. You’re not going to be able to get it hard. You need to stay away and stay clean.
V: A lot of female performers use porn as a last resort and then numb their feelings by getting high on all kinds of shit and you know, it’s a never-ending cycle.
R: Sometimes you get invited to a party and you see hot chicks, free drinks, free drugs, you have to be strong mentally to not get into that shit. That’s one of the hardest parts I’d say: the outside, social environment of porn.
I come from a strict family of devote Christian Catholics. For me, everything was about sex.
Tell me about porn parties.
V: Well, porn parties, (laughs), oh my god. Well most of the time, like Rick said, open bars, orgies here and there, drugs, a lot of drugs, a lot of rappers, actors, all kinds of mainstream people, you know, it gets pretty trashy, really quickly.
R: Sort of like Vicki said. You go to a porn party and sometimes you get a VIP section, and you can have coke on the table, guys will be like ‘do a line, do another line’, it happened to me once and I was a victim to that and I made a fool of myself. I almost broke relationships because of my behaviour, so it’s hard. Especially in the VIP section, you have free drugs and free alcohol – especially if you’re a porn star. And it’s even harder for Vyxen still because she’s a hot-looking girl, she can get all that free stuff more than me.
What was your first experience with porn?
V: The first time I watched porn was when I was eight – um, no I don’t have any daddy issues. I have a really nice family, a nice upbringing, I never had anything bad happen to me, but I was just a very sexual person. I would go away to summer camp and have all these lesbian orgies, but I was watching porn from a really young age. I was watching interracial porn and really non-conventional porn. I don’t even know why, but I would just go on. Actually, it was a guy at school who gave it to me when I was eight or nine years old, so yeah, that set it up for me young. I don’t why, I don’t know how, but I guess I was having sex with all these kids my age, well girls, that probably got me being sexual like that.
R: I started watching porn in 1994 – I was born in 82. I come from a strict family of devote Christian Catholics. For me, everything was about sex. It was like the devil, but for me, it did create the devil in me. I was so obsessed with sex. When my parents used to sleep, I used to watch TV. Back in the 90s, It was like static, and I used to watch porn on that, and I saw this guy John Dough having sex with Asia Carrera and I used to get a hard-on watching that, and since I was 11, I said, ‘I want to be like this guy, this is what I want to do’. That was my first experience with porn. The movie was Babe Watch. It was a Bay Watch parody.
Do you still watch porn?
V: No, not really. I have a lot of sex at home. So I don’t really have time to watch porn.
R: Me, yes. I’m an obsessive person. I suffered from porn addiction when I was in university and high school. I still watch porn because I like to compare myself to other performers. It causes me problems with my girlfriend, but I’m just obsessed with watching porn. I just love porn. I would say I masturbate twice a day while watching porn, but in my early twenties, it was six times a day. I was crazy enough to watch it a lot. You have to be very sexual to be in this business. You have to have the nastiest.
I have a lot of rituals. Because my dream is to be one of the top performers
Do you have any pre-scene rituals or warm-up exercises?
V: I drink a lot, ‘cos, I’m known for my big amounts of squirting, so my ritual would be to drink a lot of water, like, 24 bottles of water before a shoot. I was also known for my anal, I was shooting a lot of anal. So I had a lot of anal rituals. Drink a lot of water, have peanut butter so I wouldn’t need to go to the bathroom during a set. Lots of ass enemas and shit like that (laughs).
Did you need to warm your ass up?
V: Um, nah. Because I was shooting anal almost every day, that wasn’t a necessity for me anymore (laughs)
Rick, what are your rituals?
R: I have a lot of rituals. Because my dream is to be one of the top performers, and because I’m getting old [Rick is 33-years-old – Ed.], I still want to be able to perform until I’m 60 or even 70. I do a lot of cardio training so I have good blood flow, lots of supplements to boost normal testosterone and amino acids before I go to bed, so my growth hormone levels will be better. Every time I pee, if I have a scene during the week, I’ll cut ten seconds, piss, cut ten seconds – it’s like a Kegel exercise, which helps to have a harder erection. Also, because I want to last longer, I take only 10mg of Prozac to make sure I don’t come too easily.
If you could do a scene with anyone, who would it be?
V: Janine Lindemulder. When she was on the cover of Blink 182’s Enema Of The State. She was a total babe, she was actually the reason I got into porn. I thought she was so freaking hot, I would’ve totally of done a scene with her
R: I’m into black girls, my girlfriend is black – it would definitely be Beyonce. I would like to do a scene with her, to have a chance to sleep with her. That is my biggest fantasy. And she has a big ass, what else could I ask for?
Who’s your favourite porn star? Why?
V: For me, it’d be Sasha Grey. She’s just a really, really, really intelligent girl, but she did the most horrible shit on camera.
R: For me, I was fortunate enough to meet him – Peter North, he’s my role model. He was very humble when I met him.
