Protect Your Eyes This Summer With Pacifico Optical

Keep Your Eyes Peeled For The Pop-Up Store Travelling From Sydney To Byron This Summer!
Corrine Barraclough

Launching in time for summer, Australian premium eyewear brand Pacifico Optical is offering a unique way for beach dwelling peeps to purchase its signature items, whilst also keeping them safe from the sun.

Sun Defender has been specifically designed to cater to Aussies trying and buying their sunnies by the beach.

The idea is to promote sun safety within local communities.

Pacifico Optical Founder Alain Guglielmino says, “We intend to eventually get around to dozens of Australian coastal towns and regional areas in the near future. Due to the recent disruption to the retail environment we have seen a natural shift in consumer behaviour and a reduction in store traffic. We want to ensure our customers are able to shop with confidence, safely and in a convenient location. This portable initiative offers all of these attributes as well as the opportunity to promote sun safety.”

So, what are you looking for?

A travelling pop-up store that’s been kitted out as a shop on wheels.

When?

Customers will be able to try on the full sun collection from Dec 6.

Where?

The ‘Sun Defender’ is now making its way around Sydney and will be travelling around the beaches from Sydney to Byron throughout the summer. Showcasing at festivals and events in Sydney and surrounding cities throughout the seasons, the team will be educating consumers on the importance of UV safety all year round. For dates and locations, visit www.pacificooptical.com/sundefender to see the bespoke calendar.

What’s the health message?

The brand has also teamed up with Skin Check Champions fronted by Jimmy Niggles Esq. to promote awareness of melanoma and increase the number of skin checks by donating $5 of every pair of sunglasses purchased from the Sun Defender to the charity. Ocular melanoma is a cancer that although rare, is the most common primary cancer of the eye in adults.
