The Aussie-born, Berlin-based designer/general industry heavyweight spent years chipping away in small bit roles in retail in Amsterdam and London before moving to Munich in 2009, taking the helm of luxury e-store Mytheresa as fashion director. Fast-forward to 2016 when O’Shea departed Mytheresa in 2016 after helping to turn the brand into a US$130 million enterprise.
Next stop was a short tenure designing at menswear brand Brioni, where he stayed for six months, collaborating with Metallica on a campaign in the process, before going out solo and launching his own menswear label, SSS World Corp, at Paris Fashion Week in 2017.
O’shea’s straight dude fashion aesthetic sees him don a regular rotation of wife-beaters (showcasing his two full sleeve tattoos), aviator sunglasses and a vast collection of custom tailored suits. This look – no doubt aided by the accompaniment of his beautiful, blonde, model-esque girlfriend Veronika Heilbrunner – has turned him into one of the most photographed men in fashion.
In short? Commit his name to memory – and try to emulate his swagger, stat.
