I’ve always been comfortable in my own skin.
Nothing screams Australian summer more than sun, sand, hot weather and even hotter girls wearing very little. Brisbane model Taylor Panirau sizzles in this shoot by Troy Freyee, as she puts forward a strong case that swimsuits should be optional. We concur.
How did you get into modelling?
I started doing small collaborations with brands and photographers on Instagram, and that turned into paid modelling gigs. My family did try to get me into modelling when I was younger but I wasn’t really interested until I turned 18.
What inspired you to focus on erotic and nude photography?
I’ve always been comfortable in my own skin. My favourite feature is my body so I have no shame in showing it. I’ve also been brought up in a very body-positive home so that definitely helped.
Tell us about your shoot for Penthouse.
We shot at Fingal Heads, which is a beautiful, open beach just outside of Byron Bay. Shooting with Troy is always amazing. We’ve worked together a few times before and always click. I felt so comfortable in my own skin and we had a lot of laughs in between photos, which I’m super grateful for, especially being so vulnerable and naked in public!
What’s been your most memorable shoot so far?
This shoot for Penthouse would actually have to be one my most fun and memorable shoots. Shooting on a public beach meant we attracted a few couples who enjoyed our little peep show, plus a few unimpressed wives.
Do you prefer shooting outdoors over indoors?
Outdoors in the sun for sure. I’m a beach lover.
Where’s your favourite beach?
My favourite beach is definitely Koh Madsum (Pig Island) in Thailand. There were so many little pigs and the sunset was amazing.
Tell us about your tattoos. How many do you have?
All together I have 22 tattoos.
What is it about tattooing that you’re drawn to?
The individuality. The tattoos someone has can tell you a lot about them.
What do you like to do for fun?
Cook, eat and draw. Preferably all three at once.
What's something about you we might not expect?
Well, when I finished school, I went into disability work for three years and planned on studying law but now I’m 23 and have been working and managing a strip club for the past four years.
